Great experience over all! I had some minor issues with my car and I really needed it to be fixed asap. Ian took my car on the same day and fixed everything so I could pick it up in the evening for a reasonable price! He was very kind and flexible for the short time we interacted. I'm very glad I stumbled upon his workshop.

Got a quote for a transmission rebuild and a torque converter repair (as Ian, the owner diagnosed) while I was 6 months pregnant. He quoted 4k. I accepted and dropped the car off. When my baby was three months old, and I still hadn't heard from him so I demanded my car back. He quickly finished the job after threats and daily pestering and said it would cost 9k. I was shocked. But I desperate to have a car again, so I paid and a week later the check engine light turned on. The code was reading the exact same problem as when I first took it to him. I went to the free law clinic and they said to take him to small claims court. But I stupidly decided to talk to him first. So I called Ian and told him about the issue and he said it was the torque converter. The one he was supposed to have repaired. But since he rushed the job (waiting till the last minute) he FORGOT to do it when the transmission was out. He said he would fix it for free when he had time. It's been over a year since and not once has he called to tell me to bring it in. The car is now undriveable and will need to be scrapped. My child is now 14 months old and hasn't once been able to ride in the car that I bought so that he would be safe. This man is a crook, a liar and a thief. Do not bring your business here.

Ian is really friendly, and not at all condescending like other mechanics I’ve been to. Even though he was busy he managed to sort my transmission out within a couple of hours, and for a very reasonable price. Couldn’t be happier with my experience, and will be recommending to my friends!

Had a great experience with AB. My starter motor died at a horrible time and Ian had it sorted quick. Checked prices and options with me before proceeding, gave a rough idea on price. Have recommended to many friends and family!
