Hands down the best in Dunedin, honest, reliable and get the job done — hard to find these days. We send all our friends there and they couldn't be happier also. Thanks team!

Needed to find a new mechanic as had moved and was wanting one close to home. After reading all the good reviews this place looked like it ticked all the boxes. So far have only taken my car here for a WOF and to have the handbrake adjusted but they were very friendly and reasonably priced. I will definitely be back and will be using these guys for both of our cars in future. 10/10

Short staffed, overcharged me 1 and half hours, terrible service and shocking work done on my car. Jamie the mechanic and the owner Mike Ward went from polite to rude in seconds when I raised these issues with them. Received my car back damaged with a big scratch, disconnect my electric window without any discussion, fixed my front bumper fascia with cable ties without any discussion about it with me and not fixed properly. Not a very pleasant experience and one that ensured I'd never ever return. These are the types of outfits that will prey and overcharge on those who they think can afford to pay. I do not recommend Auto care workshop and should avoided.

Great services it's nice to know your car's getting fully checked over and safe to go on the road . l'm sure that's what it use to mean . Not just looking at fluids and charging exorbitant price. Highly recommend them.

Went in and asked for an issue to be fixed on a car, it was for a loose belt which was squeaking on cold mornings etc. Went to collect only to learn that they had also put on 4 new tyres but also some other issues for a WoF and the owner went from polite to rude in seconds, I asked him if I could have a payment plan and he said no, and I said that I couldn't pay for it in full. He told his boys to start undoing the work. But as it was close to closing time, I was worried he may close up leaving my vehicle stuck for the public holidays. Luckily I have good taste in friends, not mechanics, and after a phone call and some grovelling my friend came and bailed me out. But not a very pleasant experience and one that ensured I'd never ever return. These are the types of outfits that will prey on those who they think can afford to pay, so they'll look for extra work to do. Maybe the 2 car seats in the back wasn't enough to let this guy know we weren't the most flush. Unsure why he'd try swindle me like that, but definitely proceed with caution.
