If I could give six stars, I’d give seven
Before driving to the Ford dealer, I quickly checked the Google reviews. Nothing particularly bad, the average looked solid — so off I went. And honestly, I almost didn’t want to leave again.
From the moment I arrived, I was offered a coffee or a hot chocolate every few minutes. Even though I didn’t have an appointment, the team immediately took the time to help us. Parts were ordered straight away, and they even managed to free up a slot for us the very next day.
When we dropped off our Ford Transit camper this morning, Nils kindly drove us into the city — and picked us up again after the service. Service Manager Woody organised everything perfectly and explained it all clearly and professionally.
You can genuinely feel the high level of professionalism and customer focus in this place. Service is not just a word here — it’s lived. I would recommend anyone to stop by if they have an issue with their vehicle. The solutions are competent, fast, and offered at a fair price.
Almost a reason to move from Switzerland to Dunedin — and I wouldn’t be the only one considering it.

We recently purchased a Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland from Dunedin City Motors, and we can not recommend them highly enough. Dealing with Nathan Howells was hands-down the best experience we've ever had with a vehicle sales person. Since we were not local, Nathan provided an incredible video walk through and described the Jeep exactly as it was - no surprises, just total transparency - he even organized the transport from Dunedin to Whakatane and kept us updated every step of the way until it arrived. I have an Avis rental, a Mazda CX5. I had a warning light on the dash that the fob battery needed replacing. Phoned Avis and was told to go buy the battery and replace it myself. The owner's manual said to have the dealer do it to avoid damaging the fob. I called in at Dunedin City Motors (on a Saturday morning); they cheerfully replaced the battery for me for no charge. So 5 stars for great service, thanks guys.
