I have never before been informed that the chef did not like how a steak was cut /cooked, so was going to redo the dish. Staff apologised that there would be a further wait for our mains because of this (not an issue as starters were sooo good!). With no prompting, or comment from us, we were given another share plate, at no cost, while we waited.
Food was amazing, staff friendly and attentive, would 100% recommend, and will definitely be back when in Dunedin again!

Great Lunch. Blue code fish and chips was good and the portion size was big. Chicken parmigiana was mouthwatering. Great spot for relaxing and enjoying with friends and family.

Really enjoyed my experience here. The place is pretty big, but it gives off the feeling of being small and cozy due to the way the cafe is laid out. The staff were friendly and quick and the food was pretty incredible. I had the siracha maple friend chicken open sandwich and it was one of the best meals I've had in a while. If I'm back in Dunedin, I'll likely return to this place.

Walked in for lunch and instantly greeted! The food was out the gate! Delicious, hot and fresh. 3rd time coming and will consistently support and refer others to come in! Jess is a delight however all staff that were on were happy to help! Definitely recommend!!

Lovely ambience to this pub that serves triple chocolate craft beer among the many brews available. Limited hot tea & coffee selection though I guess this is a pub!
I thought the polenta chips were nice but the small portion size certainly didn't match the price. $3 each for a yummy small crumbed cauliflower & cheese croquette I thought was equally overpriced
