Ordered Iced Strawberry Matcha’s. We finally received the drinks after 30 minutes and right off the bat you could tell the amount of Matcha they added to the drink was very small compared to the amount of milk. The drink ended up being EXTREMELY clumpy and virtually undrinkable. We did ask the barista if the drink was meant to come out this way, and he kindly remade them for us. The second time has a nicer ratio of Matcha to milk, however ended up having the exact same clumpiness, thus I did not enjoy the drink at all and most of it went straight to the bin.

With Matcha gaining popularity, it is great to see more cafes are adding it to the menu. However, proper preparation makes a HUGE difference. I suggest reviewing preparation methods BEFORE adding it to the menu. I was quite disappointed because I normally order Iced Lattes and they are superb.

PRECINCT cafe at Otago Museum is my regular place to catch up with colleagues and friends over coffee. Today, I had jasmine lime tea, which was incredibly refreshing and organic, instead of a tea bag. I love their gluten-free carrot cake. The staff were attentive and friendly as usual and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Overall, Precinct Café offers an exceptional dining/coffee experience that I highly recommend to anyone visiting Dunedin.

We visited based on a family recommendation, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The food was delicious, the coffee was just as impressive, and the atmosphere was vibrant—busy, fresh, and full of energy. The standout, though, was Ramon. He brought our meals with a smile, checked in later to make sure everything was perfect, and struck the ideal balance of friendliness and professionalism. A genuinely memorable experience.

One of the nicest cafes I’ve ever been to. The food quality, price, staff and atmosphere was amazing!
Food and drink special was super fresh and delicious.
Highly recommend for friends, families, solo dining etc.

Another visit at this awesome destination and another glorious dining experience. The food, the ambience and the service all outstanding making it an ideal experience. Their slogan “ taste experience “ is appropriate to what you get to experience here. Thanks and well done team.
We took our fancy visitors from Auckland to this beautiful place to prove a point that Dunners have some stunning eateries. This place is consistent with their service, food and coffees. Love how each dish is created with complimenting flavours and textures. We all loved what we tasted and our visitors couldn't be happier.
